Leum Jewelry was started in 2024 by Matthew Leung. Pronounced "Loom"- the letters taken from his last and first names.
Matthew has always taken an interest in jewelry, but never realized it was something that he could do himself until he stumbled upon a wax carving video in 2023. From then on, he started practicing and making rings for himself and friends.
Leum Jewelry aims to make jewelry that is personal and individualized as it originally started as a brand that focused on Custom OOAK pieces. Styles that are part of collections are thoughtfully designed and made in small batches.
Leum and Matthew are based in New York City, where he lives with his partner, their betta fish Damian, and their apple snail Shellsey.
